In this tutorial, we will see Installation of JDK11 on Windows 10.
First of all, JDK stands for Java Development Kit, which is helpful to code and run Java programs. You can have multiple versions of JDK on the same machine, but it is recommended to have the latest version always.

Step 1: Navigate to Google and Search “Download JDK 11”.
Step 2: Observe the search result and click on Oracle Downloads Link
Step 3: Navigate to Oracle Site and Click on JDK Download – Accept the Oracle terms to download.
Step 4: Locate the downloaded JDK installable file and double-click on it.
Step 5: Welcome to Installation Wizard, Now click on Next to continue the installation setup.
Step 6: Want to change the destination for JDK installation? Then change the settings here.
Step 7: You’ve successfully completed JDK 11 Installation.
Step 8: Goto My PC and Right click on Properties
Step 9: Click on “Properties” and click on “Advanced System Settings”.
Step 10: Click on “Environment Variables” to setup PATH varibale and User varibale.
Step 11: Copy the JDK 11 path from Program Files
Step 12: Goto “User Variables” section on click on NEW:
Step 12: Keep Variable Name as “JAVA_HOME” and Variable Value is “JDK Path from Program Files” then click “OK”
Step 13: Goto Program Files – Java – JDK – bin -> Copy the path of bin folder
Step 14: Comeback to Environment Variables and select “PATH” from System Variables and Click on “EDIT”
Step 16: Click “New” and Paste the bin path, then move the value to the top – Remove the semicolon and click on “OK”
You’ve done everything to work with JDK. Now Let’s restart your computer.
Step 17: Goto Command Prompt and Run the following commands to verify Java version and Setup.
- java -version
Now everything is installed and configured properly 🙂
